After our recent official Groundbreaking in Fall of 2020, the FarSight team – spearheaded by President Richard Schickedanz and General Manager Johnathan Schickedanz – have been on-site and hard at work as construction of FarSight Homes’ new corporate offices in Stouffville, Ontario move from concept to an exciting reality!
“Once completed, our new corporate offices will be a legacy achievement and will serve the needs of our company and our home buyers for today and the years ahead,” explains Richard Schickedanz. “The dream is quickly taking shape! Currently, the main office structure is nearly fully erect with the last roof sections being built.”
Most of the work has been done by FarSight staff and trades. “Given this is FarSight’s future home, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to be as hands-on as possible as we incorporate the latest in design innovation and construction techniques,” adds Johnathan. “To facilitate this hands-on approach, several FarSight team members have received additional health and safety training as well as special licensing courses in order to utilize equipment required to make the build better, safer and more efficient.”
“It’s a welcome change of pace from the day-to-day office work,” continues Richard. “It’s nice to be back in the field on the tools again as that is what they love and grew up doing.”
Now that the main structure is nearing completion, the pace of work will increase as work on the exterior can continue while mechanical and electrical work on the interior commences.
