After holding the position of 1st Vice President of the Durham Regional Home Builders' Association for the past year, the Association is proud to announce the appointment of FarSight Homes' Johnathan Schickedanz as the DRHBA President for 2019-2020.
"It's a truly humbling moment to be honoured as the 68th president of the DRHBA," explains Johnathan. "This Association is rich in history and many Presidents that have preceded me are people that I look up to in the industry."
Coming from a family of Builder/ Developers, Johnathan is fi rst to admit that there is no other business that he could imagine being involved in.
"In 1951 my grandfather with his cousins opened Schickedanz Brothers Limited, with the goal of developing exceptional communities and quality homes," he's proud to add. "And recently my Uncle, Robert (Bob) Schickedanz, was named President of the Ontario Home Builders Association. As you can see, three generations later we are still following the same dreams."
The Durham Region Home Builders' Association (DRHBA) is the voice of the residential construction industry in Durham. The DRHBA is an advocate for choice in housing, everything from high-density to country living can be found here.
"The Durham Region is primed for growth and the DRHBA is ready to grow right along with it," Johnathan continues. "As the Association's President, I'm looking forward to all of the changes and challenges the next year will bring."
