On August 18th FarSight Homes’ founding partners and brothers Rick and Bob Schickedanz, together
with their families, gathered to celebrate the 70th anniversary of their father Daniel
Schickedanz coming to this great country in 1950. As a post war refugee his journey was made
possible due to the sponsorship of Canada Lutheran World Relief (CLWR). Daniel is the last
remaining founding partner of Schickedanz Brothers Limited and still works on a regular basis at
the ripe age of 91. In commemoration of this 70th anniversary, and the life-changing blessings
the support from Canada Lutheran World Relief made, Daniel is pleased to make a donation of $1
million to "pay it forward" and provide life altering assistance and opportunities to refugees
around the world.
