The Resiliency Discovery Home is a forward-looking initiative that builds what resilient residential construction can achieve when designed from the ground up. Instead of treating resilience as an add-on, resiliency is a core design principle built into its structure, systems, and long-term performance.

FarSight Homes is a recognized, award-winning home builder with a long-standing commitment to advancing better building practices in all their housing projects and communities. This isn’t about applying resiliency principles to a high-performance energy-efficient buildable model—this is about what is possible in today’s housing market.

In partnership with the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR), the project draws on ICLR research to guide design and construction decisions with evidence-based approaches to risk reduction and climate adaptation.

The project also includes ENERQUALITY, contributing expertise in high-performance housing and energy-efficiency certification.

More than a demonstration home, the Resiliency Discovery Home serves as a working prototype for the industry, bringing together builders, manufacturers, and technical experts to show how resilient design can be applied in today’s housing and help establish a new standard for future homes.
