On Saturday October 13th, Bob and Richard Schickedanz of FarSight Homes together with Councillor Pamela Beach, Mayor Pat Malloy and area residents gathered in Goodwood to celebrate the opening of a new community trail.
Known as the Kettle Pond Trail, it connects the Goodwood Community Centre with the end of Lapier Street and contains an additional loop that encircles a naturally occurring kettle pond.
The kettle pond which inspired the trail's name is a vestige of ancient glaciers that once covered the area.
The trail provides the opportunity for local residents to access and enjoy 40 acres of public open space adjacent to the Goodwood Community Centre.
The staff at FarSight Homes donated their time and materials to construct the new trail.
